Automotive Historians Australia hosted our 6th annual conference on Saturday 17th/ 18th September 2022, a symposium with the theme set as 'Wheels Across the Pacific: Transnational Histories of the Automotive Industry’.

This symposium was co-hosted by the Society of Automotive Historians (SAH, USA), and covered transnational histories of the automotive industry, that is shared histories that extend or go beyond national boundaries. To this end, the symposium was co-convened by AHA and SAH in the first of what we hope will be ongoing collaborations between Australian and American automotive historians.

The AHA would like to acknowledge our RMIT student designers for the day, Tianning Miao and Lorena Zapiain Porras.

Please download proceedings from the day below.

Video content of presenters from the day (and the latest AHA events hereafter) is free for paid up AHA members, via a link we distribute after the event.

So join or renew through this link for 2022/23, so that these become available to you (email us at info@autohistoriansaustralia.org if you’re a member and do not have the links).
